Meet Lamar Alexander, BIT, MHM

 

Lamar Alexander's life as a pioneer in Health Care Administration was a natural fit. Lamar's appreciation of accounting, medicine, IT, and coding all of his desires developed at an early age. Lamar was driven to math equations and problems started while assisting his mother by maintaining her income through old fashion check book balancing.

 

Vassilis "Lamar" Alexander was RATED with numerous of awards with high customer excellence while employed with the Veteran Affairs Hospital from 2012 thru 2022.

 

Mr. Alexander was raised in the modest town of Shreveport, Louisiana in the 70's. In his teenage years his family moved to Columbia, South Carolina where he begin his career. After graduating from high school In 1992 he joined the United States Army, where he spent seven years. The United States Army, which he entered during the Gulf war era, where he cultivated his indomitable spirit and where he completed his 82nd Airborne Flight Training. In the process of being promoted to SGT Alexander's duties consist of performing or supervises accounting activities. SGT promotable Alexander was honorably discharged in 1999 after being medically hurt in the field of duty. 

 

In an effort to continue helping veteran Lamar decided to obtain higher learning by attending the University of Phoenix, American International University and Capella for some Doctorate program learning as well. During this time he has earned degrees in Information Technology and Health Care Management. A few accomplishments completed in IT were certs in Network+ and CCNA.

 

In 2009 Mr. Alexander became apart of a fantastic Vocational Rehabilitation program of people at the Veteran Hospital. From 2009 to 2022 Lamar helped in various programs helping Geriatrics get assistance in the local community. He helped registered nurses and veterans daily as he manages and coordinates with nurses on plans to assist individuals with needs in the community. He managed and provided IT support for medical billing web portals for over 300 vendors monthly. Additionally, helped skilled and unskilled home health agencies understand the medical billing process. Provided medical billing training live or by visual aides for providers needing one on one training for over a decade.

In 2020 Mr. Alexander used his knowledge and medical billing experience to develop a client based medical billing business that focus on the medical billing needs for existing and new businesses in the community and named the business "LA Medical Billing Services".
